It's been like a month since i updated.
The whole post might seem long but please read it.
If at the end, you think i've wasted 1 minute of your life, then I'm sorry.
erm, yeah.

Today we had the NDP 09 selections.
So four of us, me, Carrie, Saira and Yu Hui
went there early in the morning.
We were pretty nervous.
Like duh?
We reached like at 7.45?
I know that's way earlier then the reporting time but nvm.
We went through some registration and we had to take our height!
Like awesome!
Hah!
Someone has grown taller ;D
The whole training started at about 9.30am.

The first time round the squad we were in did not do really well.
We got shouted at a little here and
there but that didn't last very long.
The whole squad pretty much improved and
we got to communicate with each other during the short breaks.
One thing i must say about the squad, i mean all four of us who were there
is that their timing is truly, really, very fast!
The guys said the timing for hentak kaki
SO QUICKLY that we hard a pretty hard time caching up
and we were totally out of breath!
Of course, the four of us took an initiative to slow
down the timing by saying our timing louder but they just won't listen -.-
They went even louder.
So yeah.
We were very tired after every time we had to do hentak kaki.
But at the end, i think all of us are able to do hentak kaki as fast as them
- Can fly already ;D
*Applause! Applause!*
Hah!

That was about the hentak kaki.
Next was the marching!
It's awesome.
I can feel the spirit of Red Cross when we all marched.
Like those proud feeling you know!
Hah!
Wtv.
We shouted the timing till our throats are now hoarse
and we've all lost our voices.
There was once the girls went super fast in the timing that everyone was practically running!
We were of course reminded by the instructors.
It was all cool.

That was all about the experience.
I really think that it's something to look forward to every year.
It does help in improving your footdrill.
When you look at how smart and sharp others are,
you will also feel that you have to improve yourself and be as good as them.
Most of the cadets at the selection did their 90s, gave a loud bang and tilt their heads up at almost all times.
All three things are like basics for them but honestly speaking, not really for us.
It is something our unit should improve on.
Falling in and falling out is another thing.
Actually all four of us have seen the difference between
the standard of footdrill we are giving and theirs.
It is very different when you've seen their standard then we telling you in words.
You can go 'WOW'
Seriously, no kidding.
So yep, btw Carrie and i didn't catch any pictures this time...

Carrie, Yu Hui and Saira, don't forget to check
the NDP blog for the results on Tuesday!

Before this post ends, Carrie & I would like to apologise
to the Talentime participants for backing out from the competition.
We hope all of you will do your best and win the competition!
May all of you WIN THE WAR!

XOXO,
marr
